Marloeke van der Vlugt
Marloeke van der Vlugt is een Nederlandse, cross-disciplinaire kunstenaar-onderzoeker, gevestigd in Amsterdam, met een achtergrond in performance, beeldende kunst, en scenografie. Haar werk is gepresenteerd in diverse (inter)nationale musea en theaters. Ze is docent aan de HKU University of the Arts Utrecht, en onderzoeker bij het lectoraat Expanding Artistic Practices. In 2015 verscheen haar boek Performance as Interface | Interface as Performance, waarin zij onderzoekt hoe het leven in een technologie gedreven, genetwerkte wereld het lichaam beïnvloedt. In 2019 begon zij aan een nieuwe fase in haar loopbaan: een artistiek PhD-project dat onze esthetische interactie met materialiteiten (lichamen, objecten, en ruimtes) onderzoekt vanuit het perspectief van Aanraking (Touching). Het project is afgerond in 2016.
Marloeke van der Vlugt is a Dutch cross-disciplinary artist-researcher based in Amsterdam with a background in performance, fine arts, and scenography. Her work has been exhibited and performed in multiple (inter)national gallery exhibitions and theatres. Van der Vlugt is a lecturer and tutor at the HKU University of the Arts Utrecht and a researcher at the professorship Expanding Artistic Practices. In 2015 her book Performance as Interface | Interface as Performance was released in which she explores her living in a technology-driven, networked world and its impact on the body. In 2019 she began a new phase in her career: an artistic PhD project that inquires into our aesthetic interaction with materialities (more-than-human bodies, objects, spaces) through the lens of Touching. The project was completed in 2026.
